Some more info on the Giedo Primo concert this saturday (march 15th).

As said before it's at Kraftwerket (Valgårdsvej 2 - close to Valby station), it's 50 kr. to get in, and I'll play approximately 22 o'clock. The other live acts will be M!R!M and Avantgardenparty. Further details can be seen here.

Concert in copenhagen 15th march

The 15th of March 2014 there will once again be a Giedo Primo concert in Copenhagen, this time at Kraftwerket in Valby. Further details will follow.

Also notice that Oktronium, where I'm also involved in some way, will play at the closing of the Spaceinvaders over Brandts-exhibition at Brandts Klædefabrik in Odense, fabruary 20th - here further details will also follow, as well as further details about the Oktronium 7" that will be released very soon!

Concert at Havnekulturfestivalen

Final details of my concert may 26th at Havnekulturfestivalen:

The concerten will take place in Kulturteknologihallen, it will start at 9 PM, and is free.

From 9 PM to approximately 10:20-10:30 the classic silent sci fi-movie "Himmelskibet" ("A Trip to Mars") will be shown, with a more or less improvised soundtrack by me and Jomi Massage.

Afterwards, that is around 10:25 PM, there will be a 30-40 minutes Giedo Primo-concert as a kind of encore.

Concert in may/ soundcloud profile

I'll be playing a concert saturday 26th of may at Havnekulturfestivallen in Odense. The concert will to some degreee be a kind of improvised soundtrack to the old silent sci fi-movie "A Trip to Mars". Noise rock musician Jomi Massage will also do parts of the sountrack, but the final form of the koncert, or the exact time is not yet determined, but I'll update here as soon as I know more.

Furthermore, I've also made a Giedo Primo-soundcloud-profile, where I'll hopefullt get a lot of music up soon. At this point, the two unreleased tracks Delikon Winter and Future Colours have been uploaded.

Giedo Primo Concert and more...

November 19th I'll be playing a concert in Copenhagem, at Danish Synth Festival 2011.

The Festival is at Lygten Station (Lygten 2, by Nørrebro Station), and admission is only DKR 50. I'll be playing at 20:30 as the first act, so attend early! The other acts this evenig are Parzival, Bionic Bithc and Mr. Jones Machine.

Furthermore, the debut ep from my side project Genespleizer has finally been released, after much delay. It's called Skrotwerk and with a playing time of 30 minutes it's practically a mini lp. Danish distribution is handeled by Rillbar, but it's also possible to order it from the excellent swedish shop Snickars through their discogs-shop.

The style is much more dark, hard and noisy than my Giedo Primo style, with elements of hardcore acid, breakcore and doomcore among the "usual" skrot-sound. Check it out on bashcorpos channel on youtube, where a bunch of tracks from both Giedo Primo and Genespleizer have finally been put up - including all of Skrotwerk as well as a couple of unreleased Giedo Primo tracks.

There have been far too long a silence here, but may 14th there's finally Giedo Primo concert again! It'll be at Odense Music Library, as a part of the Kulturmaskine Festival, and it is free! The Giedo Primo concert is at midnight, but there'll be no less than four other acts during the evening. More info will presumably come up at Klub Golems page.

I'll be playing live in Århus October 2, at a SKROT-showcase together with Commodore Combat Unit, Ras Bolding and Papa Stein. I'll also be playing some records with Interzone, and perhaps give an encore with Ekkoregimet. It'll be at Musiccaféen, Mejlgade 53, doors open at 8:30 PM, and I'll be playing approx. 22 PM. Tickets are 40 DKR.

Both Empty Circles and the SKROT-compilation are now for sale in the Moby Disc shop i Odense. They can also be ordered online from Labelkollektiv.

The next Giedo Primo concert will be saturday may 29, at Urban Art Projects part of Havnekulturfestivalen in Odense. Commodore Combat Unit will also be playing, as will either Ekkoregimet or Genespleizer.

We will start at 9 PM, and should be finished in time to see Felix Kubin at Kulturmaskinen afterward. The location is at Vasagade 14, and it is free!!

I will be playing at the official release party for SKROT - The New Machine Sound of Odense saturday 8th of may, in the outdoor area Farvergården at Kulturmaskinen in Odense, as a part of Kulturmaskinen Festival. I will play as Giedo Primo at approximately 21:35 PM, as well as with Genespleizer (appr. 20:20) and Organbox (appr. 22:00). Further details at the hamarplazt blog.

As mentioned before I'll be playing with The Live Museum saturday the 13th at Rytmeposten in Odense. As it happens, I've also been asked to play some Giedo Primo-tracks as well. It'll all start around 21 o'clock it seems. Hopefully the SKROT-compilation will be completely finished by then.

The Empty Circles ep is now finished. It's not available from any shops yet, but send me a mail if you're impatient to get one and want to order it directly. 250 copies have been made, and contain these tracks: Empty Circles, Zerstörer, Skrot Brothers, Dæmonskinke and An Indle Celebration. In other news: I am going to play a concert with the avant garage rock band The Live Museum on february 13th, at Rytmeposten in Odense. Not as Giedo Primo but just as a member of the band for this one-time reunion concert.

Giedo Primo - a short introduction

Giedo Primo is the name most often used by the electronic musician Jannik Juhl when making tracks or playing live. Over the last decade a specific Giedo Primo sound have been shaped, containing strong elements of analogue rave techno and old 8 bit computer game music, and sometimes described as a having similarities with electro, acid and breakcore, but in the end not sounding like much else around. Most of all it is a part of a unique style called skrot, which have developed in Giedo Primos home city of Odense, Denmark.

The music is made with a heap of more-or-less antiquated hardware machinery, and even the tracks that are later released are recorded as live one track takes. The result in a rather "raw", perhaps lo fi sound, and recordings that can never be fully repeated. The approach also makes every Giedo Primo concert a unique experience, with plenty of room for variation, improvisation and audience feedback.

In addition to the solo productions, Giedo Primo is working with several other projects. In particular he is half of the hardcore/acid/skrot-duo Genespleizer, but he is also involved in Organbox with Ras Bolding, and he have been playing with the unpredictable improvisational project Ekkoregimet, as well as with avant garage rock group The Live Museum. Sometimes Giedo Primo also works as a DJ, sometimes using the name Giedo Secundus.

Infinity Machines of the Second Moon

The first proper Giedo Primo release was the LP Infinity Machines of the Second Moon, released in 2007 on hamarplazt. Here the music is mostly from the more atmospheric and gloomy end of the Giedo Primo style, diverging somewhat from the usually very energetic concerts.

Empty Circles

Empty Circles catch Giedo Primos unique bleep skrot-music at its most straightforward and euphoric - like it's usually heard at the concerts. At times heavy and angular, at times circus-like silly, and often a bit of both, but always driven by a weird and absolutely unhinged sense of melody, in colorful contrast to the current trend of tastefully well-behaved electronica and minimal techno.

Klub Golem 2006 - 2009
A compilation from the danish goth club Klub Golem, given away for free at its three year birthday party, and containing tracks from all artists that had played there until then. Includes the Giedo Primo track Robo Jojo.

Infinity Machines of the Second Moon - promo CD-R
An early CD-R promo version of Infinity Machines of the Second Moon. Only a small amount was made, and it's unknown where most of them are today. As it was made several years before the LP, the content is quite different. In addition to Tiefpunkt, The Spell is Broken?, Infinity Machines of the Second Moon and Yen-Tinh Sam-Set, the promo also contain the tracks Zone Machine, Little Children of the Sea, Gilgarmix, Ruiner and De Sorte Bjerge.
